We’re all excited about the vision and blessings God has for our families. But as we receive God’s guidance, we must ask ourselves a crucial question:
What must we do as a family to ensure this vision comes to pass?
This question is essential because it helps us stay focused on the actions that will bring God’s plan to fruition. We should reflect on how our choices, attitudes, and behaviours align with the blessings God has for us.
Taking Action at Different Levels
As an Individual:
What are the personal actions, habits, or decisions that will help you align with God’s vision for your life?
What must you do to stay on course and avoid distractions?
As a Couple:
How can you work together to strengthen your relationship and fulfill the vision God has for your family?
Are there things you can do as a couple to support each other’s growth and unity?
As a Family:
What practices can your family adopt to align with God’s purpose?
How can you encourage one another to stay committed to the vision?
Biblical Insights on Obedience
In Scripture, we see that God's blessings are often linked to specific instructions. When we obey His guidance, we move closer to the fulfillment of His promises.
Adam and Eve: They were given the garden but were told not to eat from a specific tree. It wasn’t about the fruit, but about their obedience.
Samson: God told him not to cut his hair, but when he disobeyed, he lost his strength.
King Lemuel: His mother advised him to avoid giving his strength to women to protect his throne and purpose.
God’s instructions are there to protect us and guide us toward His blessings. Take some time this week to reflect on what your family must do to ensure that your vision for the year is fulfilled.
Stay tuned for the next newsletter, where we’ll talk about the things we need to avoid to ensure God's blessings flow freely into our lives.
Praying for you,
